1. Drinking water:
1.1 Hand Pumps:
Ø 875 hand pumps installed in 550 villages accessed by 40000 families.

Ø About 250 youth has been trained as Hand pump mistries who are involved in repairing and maintenance of the hand pumps.

1.2 Roof top Rain Water Harvesting
Ø 108 roofs top rain water harvesting structure has been constructed (20 in 20 schools and 88 for individual beneficiaries).
Ø 155 Awareness camp and campaign for safe Drinking water organised in 130 villages of Panchmahals and baroda district
1.3 Water Quality Testing:
Ø Water testing training which was organized by SWRC, Tilonia, SARTHI has testing of samples from around 260 villages with the support of CAPART and Tilonia.
Ø Orientation camps on water testing and chlorination in 45 villages.
Ø Chlorination in flood affected 18 villages in Panchamahals.
Ø Sanitary survey in 45 villages of Panchmahals district.

Ø 760 low-cost toilets constructed in 82 villages.

3.2 Watershed Development
Ø Currently we have undertaken 40 watershed projects under the Drought Prone Area Program (DPAP) and 12 watershed projects under the Integrated Wasteland Development Projects (IWDP) in remote, drought prone and ravine areas of Panchmahals, Baroda and Sabarkantha district of Gujarat State.
Ø Land Treatment: 36,000 hectares.
Ø Deepening of Percolation tank: 28 nos.
Ø Water channels to the Percolation tank: 1 no.
Ø Deepening of dug well 200
Ø Farm Pond: 120 nos.
Ø Waste weirs: 200
Ø Checkdams: 250 nos.

Ø Lift Irrigation scheme in the area: 3 nos and 250 hectares.
Ø Ravine reclamation and planting the trees (fuel, fodder and fruit) and shrubs in ravine and rocky terrain: 2000 Hectares. Increased productivity through improved land and water use in watershed area and also conducting the Vaccination camp for dairy cattle’s.
4.0 Demystifying Technology
4.1 Solar Energy
Ø 50 solar cookers has been provided to tribal people
Ø 20 Night Schools-solar lighting
4.2 Biogas
Ø 2100 biogas plant has been constructed in the project area
Ø More then 100 mason trained as a biogas mistries.
4.3 Improved Cook stove
Ø 15000 Improved cook stoves (Nada model designed by Madhu Sarin)have been constructed
Ø More then 500 women trained as a Chulha mistries
4.4 Geodesic Domes
Ø SARTHI has been attended the training on geodesic domes as a TOT and trained 15 youth (black smith) to construct the domes.
Ø 4 geodesic domes have been constructed in SARTHI’s working area.
4.5 Agriculture Equipment
Ø 50 people has been trained as a blacksmith for agriculture equipment
5.0 Education
5.1 Night Schools
Ø Till date 20 night schools in 20 villages
5.2 Non formal Education
Ø 22 Non-formal Education Centre has been run by SARTHI
Ø 12 Balwadi centre has been run by SARTHI.
6. Women’s Empowerment
6.1 Self Help Groups
Ø There are 417Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) having a total membership of 5763 women who have collected a total saving amount of Rs. 5166816/- in various banks and are using this money for the internal loaning. Rs. 41, 04800/- has been taken from various financial institution as a revolving fund for increasing their income. 232 SHGs has been linked with the SGSY scheme and 105 SHGs have been linked with the banks.
Ø 6 federations of tribal women’s have been registered having 3228 members from 221 SHG’s.
6.2 Entrepreneurship
Ø 1133 women are involved in the Animal Husbandry, poultry, kitchen garden and agriculture.
Ø 45 women have been trained in preparation of vermi compost.
Ø 412 women started small business outlets in their villages.
Ø 200 weavers (handloom and Panja dary) trained by the organization.
Ø 100 farmers have been adopted newly varieties from ICRISAT of pigeon pea (Pigeon pea variety ICPL-87, 87091, 85010, 88034, 88039, 13092, 87119, 96058 which is short duration and drought resistant) and Chick pea (chick pea variety ICCC-37, KAK-2, JG-11, JGK-1) crop.

7.0 Health
Ø More then 500 Awareness camps organized on gender, sexual education with Adolescents, Adults and newly married couples.
Ø 50 Child health checkup camp
Ø 10 Gynecological Camps
Ø 152 Women patients have been referred to government hospitals for further treatment.
Ø Mobilized Awareness of 300 SHGs members, health volunteers, Arogya sakhi and midwives on Chiranjivi and RCH.-2 programe.
Ø 80 Yoga classes in Primary school with 2000 students.
Ø 120 villages volunteer giving their services for primary health treatment in 120 villages.
Ø 200 dai , 121 Arogya Sakhi(barefoot gynecological) and 124 local healers have been trained by SARTHI
Ø 50 performances done for the health issues through Puppet show and 10000 people benefited.
8.0 Employment:
Ø More then 500 women has been trained as a chulha mistry
Ø About 475 youth has been trained as a mason (low cost housing,biogas,latrine)
Ø About 50 youth has been trained as a black smith
Ø About 100 youth has been trained as a carpentry
Ø About 200 youth has been trained as a oil engine repairing mistry
Ø About 1200 people has been trained for agriculture and animal husbandry.(vegetable, kitchen garden, new and improved varieties of crop, cropping pattern, poultry, duck, cattle, goat etc.)
Ø 150 participants has been trained as a tailoring
Ø 250 participants has been trained as a patchwork
Ø 200 weavers has been trained (Punja darry and handloom)
10.0 Saving the Environment
Ø 9500 people have been participated the environmental camps under NEAC program.
Ø More then 2100 biogas plant have been constructed in the area
Ø More then 15000 improved cook stoves (Nada Model) have been constructed
Ø Joint Forest Management: We are working with 60 village-level groups in Santrmpur Taluka, Panchmahals and 21 Groups in Meghraj Taluka, Sabarkantha. 17137 hectare of forest land has been protected by 13643 members (7988 male and 5655 female members) of JFM groups. Up till now, 29 groups work independently and 45 groups work with the continued support and assistance of SARTHI and 33 groups are registered and 58 groups has been get the authority letter from the forest department.
11.0 Technology Resource Centre
Ø CAPART, New Dehli, has officially identified SARTHI as a Technology Resource Centre (TRC) in Gujarat. At present we provide training in five technologies to rural youth, SHGs and grassroots level NGOs in the Panchmahals and Baroda districts.
